If at all possible finish your degree and either get out and come back in as an Officer. It can be a quicker process and you'll have a better shot at choosing your field. AND you won't be competing...

I did 2.5 years enlisted and another 6.5 as an officer. Retention will have alot to do with your job. So choose well (IF you get to choose at all) One option would be to get out and go to school...
