Isn't it amazing how many people screaming for WAR have never served in the military let alone been in combat. Myself, strictly a peace time warrior and never having to test myself under fire, I...

Yeah, Listen to your NCOs, but

with a critical ear. After all, in the final analysis you will be the one to make the decision. Most Marine NCOs are good people with what I call 'street smarts' but you can run into a bad one (just...

    After further thought (dangerous

activity for one of my advanced years) and reflection (downing a couple of San Magoos), I want to change my opinion. My selection for the "greatest Marine" would be for the Marine to the left of me...

    What do you expect?

As a native I have gotten more and more disgusted with the beauracrats who run the city. The unfortunate thing is the moderate, middle-class is fleeing the city in droves, so the PC'ers run...

    Not surprised!!

This is what happens when good, old-fashioned 'common sense' gets lost. This country has become so afraid to make 'a mistake' that it has gone to extremes.
As I saw elesewhere, what can you expect...

    R.I.P., Marine!!!

Ted Williams was one of the few 'big name celebrities' who didn't hide in Special Services during his two tours of active duty. He put his butt in harm's way. One can only wonder what more he might...
  18. "Under God" - It doesn't matter!!

When I recite the Pledge of Allegience, I am not pledging allegience to any religious figure (God, Allah, Buddha, the Great Spirit, etc). My pledge is to the Flag and through it to my Country. So...

I never got the chance to get to know Nomad personally but did exchange a few emails with him just before his passing. I'm going to miss his input and presence. :(
