I was at Camp McTureous, Okinawa. I was awakened in the early morning in my quonset hut quarters to the sad news. I was a Sergeant at the time.

Montford Point was also a brig retraining command during the early 1950s. I was with ICo 3rd Bat 6th Marines. Our Company provided the brig guards for about two or three months.

So very sorry of your lost. God will take good care of your Grand Daughter. Our prayers are with you in your time of need.
