lol yeah I know. With an IST like mine I would've thought it could've gone unsaid that an 18:00 3 mile is a long term goal.

Realistically, I'd like to get my run under 11:00, of course eventually getting a 18:00 3 mile. My secondary goals are to get the last 5 pullups and 15 situps I need to max those areas.

I'm not them, but I'm pretty sure they meant 'crazy' as being exceptional, above and beyond the call, worthy of praise etc. And not 'crazy' as being derogatory or offensive.

Either way, improvement is what's important, and you're seeing it, so congrats!

More than likely what happened was that due to the decreased frequency of pullup workouts, your muscles were more recovered and received a better workout when you hit it. Pushups work completely...

Personally, I prefer to dry shave. Otherwise my face gets cut the hell up. Never had any problem dry though.

Why the hell not? It's a legitimate option that the Marine Corps is giving to poolees to help jumpstart their careers. There's no good reason to not at least give it an honest try.
