Mornin All, SEMPER FI!!!! 234. I remember being a young Marine at 18 years old when the Corps reached 200. WOW, it's been 34 years since then. Still have the mind of that 18 year old Marine, but the rest of me has moved on. Tomales and eggs with coffee for morning chow. Don't much get out anymore because my old rusty self can't handle tobacco smoke. So the Ball at the VFW will be a no show, but I will be sure to wish all Jarheads I see today a Happy Day. Payers and a Hearty Semper Fi to all my brothers and sisters in harms way. SF

Happy 234 Birthday Marines, I joined my first year was there 193 birthday I glad I can be part of Marine Corps History.

Only a couple of days when I get to meet Ed and his wife I hope, I look forward to it

Made breakfast for the Marine Recruiters right up the road. They had orange juice, cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting, and arepas topped with white Mexican cheese (queso blanco) with some hot sauce to wash it down.
(The arepa is a flat, unleavened patty made of cornmeal which can be grilled, baked, or fried. The characteristics of the arepa vary from region to region: It may vary by color, flavor, size, thickness, garniture, and also the food it may be stuffed with. Arepa is a native bread made of ground corn, water, and salt which is fried into a pancake-like bread. It is either topped or filled with meat, eggs, tomatoes, salad, cheese, shrimp, or fish.)

Good Morning and Happy Birthday Mairines!! I was 19 yr. for first Marine Corps birthday at CamPen. Didn't sleep at all (didn't go to bed until 0700) last night cause I was/am worried about John.
