Morning y'all! Sunny and 86 here. Coffee so far for breakfast. Day off, got to go clean and turn over keys for the old rental and maybe cooking on the grill with some cold brews later!
:evilgrin:...........GOOD MORNING MARINES, AND DOC'S!!!......After reading the local paper this morning, I couldn't find any news about the latest Marines who were KIA in Asskrackistan. I kept going back and forth here, and at MSNBC...but NOTHING!! I was eating a bowl of Cheerio's while I was searching, and now I'm crying over spilled milk!!! Only 30 seconds on the national news last nite about KIA's...no specifics!! Does Stars and Stripes report battle results, or list names of units and men involved in combat??.....we're treated like mushrooms, aren't we?? Prayers out to all those serving in harms way....SEMPER FI....DOC
morning all! just got and hope all have a good day. mower still won't start and battery been on charge all night. gonna have a f riend come check it out for me. can't stay, but like stoppin' in and saying hi. just feel lilke I should. Know what I mean. Take care my guys and stay safe.

morning everybody! coffe for breakfast. then i don't know what. been watching NCIS all morning and have some cleaning to go do. it's a warm and sunny day so far and neither me or my awsome husband have to work... thats a little scary.
Good early afternoon to some, late morning to others.
Hotter than a pepper sprout down here. There is no such thing as anti-perspirant deoderant. Breakfast? Nicaraguan style tortillas topped with refried beans, green peppers and a blend of Mexican style cheeses...all grilled on a cast iron flat pan. All this was topped off by a Beck's Dark bottle of beer. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Frikn A!

OK, so, think about this.... when you stand or sit, you put pressure on your spine. Only way to relieve that pressure is to stretch it...but...putting your head in a noose is NOT a very good idea.
So... here's what I did and found it REALLY works - for me at least.
I bought one of those "inversion" boards. The one you clamp your feet into and SLOWLY turn upside down. You can stop anywhere along the line by moving your hands up and down your side from ATTENTION! to HANDS UP!!! This moves your center of gravity and you can gradually get to the point of being inverted. SO, what the F*CK does THAT DO, AWB ?? It allows you to stretch the spine. This takes the pressure off the nerve roots and thus the irritation that causes the pain. I tried it out of sheer desperation. I was going to a GOOD back cracker but he just couldn't help. Hell, my gun belt alone came in at close to 20 pounds and my BPV w/shock plate added another good 10 pounds. It worked and has continued to work. When I need it, I do three 3 minute inversions.

NEVER DO THIS ALONE!!! IF YOU GET STUCK UPSIDE DOWN - YOU COULD VERY EASILY DIE !!!
Just remember what I said, it worked for me, might not be the right way for you to go.

Was way to busy this morning.
Nothing to eat. Not even coffee!
Had to go to the ear Dr to have a new set of ear molds put in for the hearing aids...another present from flight ops in VN... Oh well....
Got to work and it was rather busy. Now I'm doing some clean up and laundry. The wife is on her way in from the airport. Son is driving her.

well, got back in here. lawn mower wouldn't work and got a friend coming over to see what's wrong with it. Got some trees trimmed and gads it was HOT and think got sunburned. Now my back is hurint; stood too long. get lower back pain when standing a long time can't even walk around Wally World. Hope all had a good day. Just wish I could vent here. Take care and God bles.

Mornin all, Been up since 0335. Storms moving through. Just coffee so far. Waiting to see on radar how long these storms will last. If till noon, I'll take another vacation day and stay home. hate working muddy construction sites. SF
Good morning, Marines.
My back is doing better and I'm cleared for work on Friday. Got a slipped, disc in my lumbar region, Always. Also have no curvature in my neck and a thoracic restriction.
The t-spine is better, the neck is still stiff and the lower back and hips have been worked out for now. I asked about inversion in addition to what's going on now and he said to rectify the slipped disc first.
Add a sling carrier and a 10 pound baby in it and daddy carrying him around as such because mommy is sick and you've got a recipe for back being a mass of pain. Lets me take care of the kid while mommy recuperates from multiple infections so it works out well.
Breakfast will most likely be sausage and peppers. Let me hand the reins back over on this one. Happy belated birthday and anniversary to the Marines on here and their loved ones.

Morning everyone. Had really bad thunderstorms last evening and night. Quarter size hail and high winds. Funny how wind does ...my neighbor's tree which is about 20 ft from my property line was snapped in two about 3 feet off the ground, but my catfood dish which weighs just a few ounces was right where I left it.
No big plans for today. I have a dental appointment at 1100 for a semi-annual cleaning.
I've got back pain also, but it's not showing up on x-rays. I went to the Memphis VA and had a whole series taken but they said nothing was visable. When I came back from Nam everything was OK physically. After Iraq it was different..having to wear all that body armour was hard on my back (I was 58 when I was over there). My next appointment with VA is in 4 weeks and I'll bring it up again.
I guess I better get a few things done before my dental appointment. Talk with y'all later.
