Doc glad you made it.
Glad you liked the chow, its not my cup of tea.
Just a Southern boy I guess.
I did have some good Greek friends and customers in Greensboro my home town and boy could they cook.
On my slack days I would go to the restaurant before opening and sit and eat and drink with them. The mother loved me allot. One thing about Greek people if they like you they really like you. I was like family. Can't even count the amount of time I spent at the restaurant before and after hours.
Those Greeks really could drink also.
She would fix special meals for me and when I would take my second wife there they treated me like family.
Great memories.

Welcome back Rocky. No harm no foul. We all have downer days. Sometimes weeks. But never forget us here. Go ahead and delete your account. When you get it together again and realize your mistake just come on back we will still be here. Doc, the Navy always had the best chow. Bulkyker, I must have been lucky cuz we had real eggs in our chow hall in Oki. That's where I learned to make soft scrambled eggs. Yummm!! Gunner, I don't know what it is, but I seem to be a jack of all trades, and a master of none. Very seldom do I need a professional, but sometimes..............well a lot of times I end up making several trips to the store to complete a project. And ocassionally I have to repurchase some parts cause I installed the first one wrong and ruined it. SF

LOL that is funny. I can't think of the number of times I've done surgery on something in a pep boys parking lot. Go back inside Uhh I think I need another one of these and do you have a cresent wrench I can barrow? When I was 18 I had driven to Utah to visit my dad. I had a beat up old roadrunner and it started hopping and limping along. I got out and it had somehow sheared off all the lug studs on the left front. I was dang lucky as I was in a town and not in the middle of nowhere. I had just driven 400 miles and paid for gas along the way with dimes.

What to do what to do. I trotted to the nearest parts store and bought 5 new lug studs then jacked the car up and proceeded to replace them. I had a hammer and a tire iron for tools. Holding a flashlight in your teeth and cursing the world. Some how got em in and lined up. I've lead a lucky life.

Still trying to sell the kids on left over pancakes from Sunday but there are frozen blueberry waffles in the freezer. Maybe if I froze the pancakes they would eat them. Don't have a dog to feed them to.

I actually do like tomatoe sandwiches and once in a while get spoiled and a few tomatoes show up in the fridge.

Another day another dollar. All this time I thought yaki meant chicken and soba meant noodles. A certain kind of noodle. I went into a little resaurant in Tokoyo where they didn't speak a lick of english and ordered yakisoba and yakitori. They brought me a bowl of chicken soup and a chicken leg on a stick with ketchsup on it.

The good yakitori was served at some dive in kinville and was more or less chicken meat wrapped around a long toothpick and covered in sauce. They gave it to you in a plastic cup and I think there were 6 for 200 yen. If you've been to hansen then it is right across the road from the gate on the right before you go down the hill.

GOOD MORNING MARINES, AND DOC'S!!! BULL...everytime you post about food, my appetite goes NUTS!! I really like "pot-stickers", grilled, or barbequed chicken (OR CAT!) on a stick, with sauce. Another "Dream-maker" night, so I've got the coffee pot going. I found out yesterday, that my camera has taken a DUMP!! SOOOO....took it back to Best Buy, and they will send it off to NIKON, for free repair or replacement. WISH I had an InstaMatic!! More than 40 years ago, lots of pic's were taken out in the bush, and the film sent for developing, then pic's sent back home. WOW!! More strange memories!! GOTTA' GO! May GOD bless all of you, and all of our Brothers, and Sisters in harms way....DOC

Doc, just get you one of those throw away cameras until your comes back.
I had a pretty good night for a change. Didn't go to bed until 12;30 after the late show. Got up at 6 AM which is unusual for me.
Toast with butter so far for breakfast.
No work again today.
