Good evening, Marines. Went to Jordan's for supper. They make these pizza bread bowls filled with greek salad and gyro or souvlaki meat that sit on some tsatziki sauce that is killer.
Went to look at a new place today. Very nice space, clean and well lit, a bit more space, attic included, lots of storage. Downsides: it's a bit out of the way, it's on the second deck and we have a dog and a kid on the way. Looking at more places throughout the week.
Redman, Vadalia Onions, and pinto beans?? Man If I had that for supper I'd be tootin all night. Had an early start (egg, bacon, and cheese on toast for breakfast) to work this morning so I could get in a hearing test before work. Surprise! I have impaired hearing. No sh*t Sherlock. Been on VA disability for it since 1979. Speaking of that, I got a letter from the VA saying I qualify for a $250 stimulus check from HopeyChangey. OOOOOOOooooo I can buy a lot with that!! Supposed to get it by July 10th. I'll use it to buy beer and hookers. The only two true American made products left out there. Or maybe on another Remington shotgun, or an extended membership in the NRA. Heck it's so much money I might have to hire an accountant to manage it.:evilgrin: What a joke. He takes the first ho to a movie on the taxpayers dollar to the toon of 24K for helicopter, guards and staff, and I'm supposed to thank the turd for $250. WTF!! FROSTED Cheerio's with skim milk (YUK!), OJ, and coffee...just to get me goin'! 23:00 news last night, spent most of the program talking about GM, and how this area MIGHT be affected by the mess. We'll just have to wait, and see. Looking out into the darkness, I'm thinking about our Brothers, and Sisters over THERE. Time to bring them ALL home! Good morning! The sun is not up yet but you folks are used to that.
Following instructions from the doctor, I took an early morning shower with the bandages (dressing) off of my left ear. Looks like the skin graft isn't taking too well right now but the sorenness is minimal, the swelling is down and the seepage slight. Looks like a nice chunk of skin was removed to get to all the cancerous cells. This ear is not going to win any beauty contests. LOL.
Breakfast? I have some strawberries and a combination of dry cereal and trailmix with a tiny bit of milk that I'll eat. H*ll, maybe I'll make some cornbread and dirty the kitchen.
Oldest son just got back from Assghanistan and, if his schedule is true, will head towards Brazil to train with the Gracies of Jiu-Jitsu fame the middle of the week. Who knows, maybe he will stop over in the Miami area and I will be able to see him. My other son, the Marine, is enjoying time with his mother's side of the family and his brother while those opportunities are available. He was interviewed by a television reporter a few weeks ago; I think the story line was, War Vet Graduates from College. Once I get the link, I will pass it on.
That's about it ...for now. Be good to yourselves, support the troops and say a prayer for those who lost their lives as a result of D-Day, the 6th of June.

MCVET those pintos and vidalias were great. I read somewhere that your body gets used to pintos and you don't have gas. It must be true Really I don't get gas from them anymore.

Heck, you must be doin' okay for yourself if you can afford those two top shelf items..especially the American beer.
Speaking just about beer, down here they sell a beer called LandShark which is owned by Jimmy Buffet. Heck, Joe Robbie Stadium aka Dolphin Stadium etc., etc., has now been renamed LandShark Stadium. The beer is okay, nothing special, but it costs a pretty penny to purchase more so than some very, very good quality imported beers from either Europe or Latin America. Bud is getting pricey as well.
Thought I'd eat some peanut butter and jelly toast like JAG is always eating for breakfast. Yum Yum with a big glass of milk.

Mornin leathernecks, and squids, JD Breakfast Bowl, and coffee. Work is slow and boreing, but at least I'm gettin paid for sitting around waiting for a concrete order to deliver. Funny how I'll sit for hours, get a load around 3 pm, then take till after 5 to pour it. Making for a 10 to 11 hour day even though I did nada most of the day. Don't see how the company makes any money. Some days I ask to go home as I don't like getting paid for doing nothing. Makes me feel like I'm milking the clock. The drivers who do like it get mad at me when I go home early, cause it makes them look bad. I Don't care, I have my morals. If I don't earn it, I don't want it. Well I'm off to work, maybe it will be a busy day. SF
Good morning, Marines. Breakfast was a veggie and ham omelet, sliced bananas, orange juice, home-fried breakfast potatos, toast and a pot of coffee. I'm freakin' full.
Got 3 more places on the line to look at today. The first place yesterday was real nice. Bright and clean and they allowed dogs and the neighbors are nice and there's a whole attic. We'd share a backyard and a deck but it's a backyard and a deck!
Hope the other places are nice too. I don't care at this point, I'm just happy we're looking for a place together and have a kid on the way.
MCVet, when we have Saturday hours here there's no time to take for lunch because of patients coming in and there being nobody to cover... So we don't get paid for an hour because we're supposed to take lunch. That'd I'd take back from them by goofing off for an hour during my regular shift but it doesn't get me anything except the feeling that I could have been working instead. Ain't no two ways about having morals... except for this one girl who got ****y drunk and somehow got dumped in the middle of Queens. No idea how that happened... promise!!!

I have my 1 hour physcotherapy apt. at the VA today so we shall see.
DocGreek, I haven't called you Bro to check in because when I get like this I stay Isolated and Withdrawn and I just can't collect my thoughts very well.
