Well obviously I lean towards South Dakota, and especially east-river. Lots of jobs available. Winters can be harsh, but the summers are awesome. Low crime (compared to just about everywhere else), affordable houseing, and friendly people. Oh and did I mention "no cockroaches", poisonous snakes (east-river), or fireants? I could say a whole lot more, but it might (probably would) be misinterpreted as racist. So I will leave it at that. SFQuote:

Years ago I did OTR trucking for myself as a owner operator and it was good back then but notdays I don't know. I really think for all the hours you spend on the road its not worth it.
If you do move to Tenn and get near WNC you have to look me up

Hey Bob, isn't South Dakota's payscale lower Than North Dakota, but it all depends what you do, I know our oil boom in north western North Dakota is where the big bucks our at,but alot of trash and hard to get a place to stay,Semper Fidelis.:flag:Quote:

Jrhd I understand where your comming from.
It really ****es me off that even here in WNC we pay higher gas taxes than anyone else in the state.
I still like living here on my six acres with my critters.
Next time someone says I'm grumpy I'll tell them it was cause I was in Nam.
I think you will be happy no matter where you light down with your family.
Trucking these days has to be hard. When I got out of Nam I OTR for a few years but I was only 25 yr old. I wouldn't take nothing for those days.
