Man I don't envy those forest fire fighters. Talk about heat! And always the posibility of being overrun. Those guys really earn their pay. It's 102 downtown as I type this. Dew point is 80. Heat index is 115. Glad I'm done work for the day.Quote:

Mostly I miss how you used to describe your breakfast and it made me hungry just reading it.
I still remember when I joined how you talked me into getting surgery that I was putting off and I'm glad you were there.
Then Rocky took me under his wing and help me with the VA and another surgery.
Everybody on here has helped me in one way or another and I appreciate it.

Good Morning All-Could not post yesterday-Why-well I bought an air-conditioner the day before-so I tried to install it on my third floor window in my bedroom.So it fell out the window but I was still holding it by it's electrical cord.I held it for about 1/2 hour.My friend Booden, who lives in my brothers bilding -ran up to get the keys for this apartment.This is about 10-to 8:pm .My brother was sleeping with his air-conditioner on.So Booden called him,got the keys and saved my $184.00 dollar 6000 BTU air-conditioner.So the result of this tug of war-put my body in trauma;even my ticker hurt.My arms feel like lead so I could not post.I'm doing it now-so that I dont have to do it later.My brother said I should have had a little common sence -I dont know if I ever had common sence.In N.Y.C.all air conditioners must be mounted by screws and bracets.I did not know this.Iv'e had a portable General Electric Air Conditioner for the last 17 years.So am I an A-hole or what.I'm going to get the Super to install it.You know I'm not 30 years old any more-there is such a thing as Ageing.That's my story.I agree with all of you about DocGreek.He's a Funny and Very Intelligent man.I'm still in a little trauma-I need to be in a Spiker Body Cast.I have pain all over.Prayers out to All Military Personal.I may not post Friday if I still feel bad.....Semper Fi-God Bless and be well.I feel much better than I did the day before yesterday-I'm healing and I did learn my lesson.......Bye for now......Allan...out.

Heat advisory here today...tomorrow is supposed to be just plain HOT and then it is supposed to cool off to the mid to lower 90s until Monday.

Morning All, One more day of extreme temps. Area Farmers have lost over a thousand head of cattle to the heat so far. One farmer lost 100 alone. They say it aint nice to kick someone when they're down, but how stupid you have to be to cram hundreds of cattle into a feed lot with no shade and little access to "cool" water when the temps in the shade are around 100. Probably 130 or higher in the sun. You don't see to many cattle dieing in pastures with stock dams or streams, cool grass, and shade trees.
MRI on my shoulder today got me the day off at work. No problem as my work truck has a clutch problem and needs a day in the shop. And I hate driving someone elses assigned truck. And I hate someone driving mine when I'm off.
