Getting sent to Infantry S3 shop

Rah Marines,

I am currently in an infantry battalion, however I'm looking to do something a little different after this up coming deployment. I know there are some 03's that work in the S3 and I was wondering how one goes about being assigned one of those billets or is picked for one.

Go to your S3 shop and talk to the senior enlisted Marine there (most likely the Operations Chief) or the S3 officer himself. Get the answer straight from the horse's mouth.
