I'm wondering if any Marines out there could tell me what it is like working at an armory? My command ****ed me over is sending me there for 3-6 months to "un-f*ck" it. I'm really not too pleased about going there, to say the least. What's a typical day like? What hours would I normally be working? etc...
had a couple buddies work as armorers they thought it was great......but they got busted offbase with m-60s m-16s and plenty of ammo for each spent a little time at mainside in the brig...other than that was all good
I worked in the Armory while part of an RBE. San Mateo armory in the 62 area of Camp Pendleton to be exact. It can be boring but you get to be around weapons who doesn't love that. A lot of Inventory checks, inspections to ensure the weapons are operational and a bit of paperwork. That was my experience.
