Hi. Thank you for your posts about Guadalcanal. I am researching my uncle, Miland Peterson, who served with the 164th and received a Silver Star for his work in the Battle of Henderson Field on Oct 25, 1942. Apparently he rescued two Marines while under enemy fire. I have been in touch with the 164th Assn. I wonder if you might know of any other leads I could pursue.
