  1. Damn, Tony, we HAD to cross paths at some point in time... Staging in July/August 66, Nam late August... then 2/28 in January 68 Comm Plt until EOS in March, 68.... I'm really bad with remembering names, but I remember one kid named King, who claimed to be a member of the famous KING ranch family from Texas, and the Comm Plt SNCOIC, a short SSgt we all called "IGGY" after the character in the "Little LuLu" comic books. I also remember another fool that caught the clap about four times from the same piece... was afraid they'd court martial him so he tried to "suck it up" until weekend liberty and go to the "free clinic" out in town.. but we got no liberty and the base went on lock down because of the Khe Sahn and Hue battles. There was a corporal that I think was named Delaney (not sure about the name) that must have had some hellacious nightmares, he screamed in his sleep evert night, but he sure as hell wasn't alone in that... any of those guys ring a bell with you?

Sorry I didn't see this earlier Top. I was in staging about July - August 1966. I was with 2/27 until they went to Nam in about February or maybe early March 1968. I went to 2/28 and I was with the H&S Comm,FAC team. We must have crossed paths. Do you remember Johnny Morales or a real short guy named Micklin who was a real clown but a power lifter. One of those guys that you could f*ck with but you'd better not let him catch you.
  3. Have a safe and happy holiday season. Merry Christmas.

Welcome to my friends list, Semper FI Master Sgt of Marines.
  6. Dennis: if you waived MC retirement because the VA comp was higher, you should now elligable for both the VA comp and the MC retirement (crdp) if you are rated 100% by the schedule or due to IU. The crdp will most likely be taxable. You are also elligable for the CRSC as of 01-01-2008 if you are currently entitled to retired pay for any reason OTHER than early reserve retirement for disabilities not incurred in the line of duty. This as of the CRSC form DD 2860 dated APR 2008. Suggest you contact DFAS regarding reinstatement of your military retirement, then reapply for the CRSC using the latest form. I have heard of several cases where crsc claims were denied due to using an older form. Let me know what happens.

    oldtop,

how have you been. I told you I got my back pay of 381.00 and a monthly increase of 64.00 ************* says there is a screw up on the program. Do you know what is going on with crdp and crsc? I can't figure this out,and can't get any answers.

    oldtop,

well I just talked with someone with the CRSC. I got a whopping 64.00 extra a month. I talked with one of my friends from MOPH ,he was with Echo 2/1 also he is 100% disabled. He qualified for the CRSC. He was not very happy with the ammount. I laughed my ass off at him because he was counting on more money so he could by property down in Florida. At least I know better than not putting all my eggs in the same basket.
