Hi, I'm having a problem with creating a thread in the Ask A Marine forum. I was going to pose a question to any officer that happened to be lurking around about the AAV Officer's Course but it won't allow me to post a new topic. If you could help me I'd appreciate it.

Thanks Master Gunnery Sargeant, I didn't think that was a thread to be in even if my dad is a Nam Marine, guess that doesn't qualify me as "family" yet. Just still curious as to my ist drops question. I'm squared though so thanks again.

Where on this site can I find Guide Lines for proper posting, etc. I don't think I am using the site correctly, even though nobody has complained.

Hi Ellie,

As a parent of a recruit, I would like to know (specifically) what Forums I can and cannot post in....

Occasionally, I will have questions that I would like to ask Marines....not other parents.....

A good example would be the USMC MECEPS question that I posted on "Open Squad Bay" a couple minutes ago....it was moved to the Parent Section within seconds of me hitting the "submit" key!

No parents are going to know the answer to that question.....it will have to come from Marines.

I can understand keeping poolee's off of most Forums, but don't Marine parents have the ability to post in most of the others (except the "Marines Only" forums)?

I want to follow the rules, but I need to know what the scoop is!
