Drifter...Tou may want to post this Brother.....Thanks GOOSE

Go to the website below for info on the drinking water at Camp Lejuene up to 1987

Reported health problems in people of all ages from drinking water contaminated with TCE and/or PCE include—

    Non-Hodgkins lymphoma (1, 12)
    Bladder cancer (17)
    Breast cancer (18)
    Lung cancer (14)
Reported health problems in people of all ages from working with TCE and/or PCE include—

    Hodgkins disease (15)
    Non-Hodgkins lymphoma (15)
    Cervical cancer (15)
    Kidney cancer (15)
    Liver/biliary cancer (15)
    Ovarian cancer (15)
    Prostate cancer (15)
Neurological effects (delayed reaction times problems with short-term memory, visual perception, attention, and color vision) (13)
Workers are exposed to much higher levels of TCE and PCE than are people who drink contaminated water. Therefore, the health problems seen in people who worked with TCE and PCE may not be seen in people who drank contaminated water.

People say their heroes are Superman & Batman flying around & protecting comic book cities. It’s obvious to me they’ve never met a Marine because if they did their heroes would be wearing Dress Blues or Combat Boots, not spandex & capes.

So here is a big thank you for your service & wishing you a happy 4th of July weekend from a very thankful & proud American.

    Respectfully,
    Vanessa-Rose

    Drifter,
Thank you for the birthday greetings. I had a real good time even with the absense of my two sons. Since they didn't show up I made a huge "pulled pork" sandwich on a loaf of Cuban Bread and brought it over to the nearest Marine Corps Recruiting Office by my house for lunch.
(I don't know how long that lasted. LOL)
Well, that's about it. Thanks again and enjoy your 4th of July weekend.

    Please pass this on!
    American Legion magazine July 2008, page 35;
    Veterans, Troops can always salute
A change to Section 9 of the U.S. Flag code
passed this year saying all veterans can salute
whether or not they are in uniform or wearing
identfying veteran apparel such as a Legion cap.
    This pertains to Veterans only.
