I joined the Marines in April 1987 and was a recruiters wet dream and for those who ever spent any time on the streets, knows exactly what I mean. I was a direct ship! No time in the DEP or as a Poolee. Kiss em & ship em. I spent my first 4+ yrs with Bravo CO 1/8 Wpns Plt and was invol extended due to the CFG during Desert Storm. I started out as an 0341, Mortarman but throughout my career I have been school trained in 5 different MOS's (Military Occupational Specialty). They consist of: 0918 Marine Corps Combat Water Survival Instructor; 3521 Automotive Organizational Mechanic; 8411 Recruiter, and 5811 Military Police. I have spent the majority of my career in the 5811 field but miss the days and close bond of the 03's
