I saw your post about wanting to increase pull ups, and I dont know if you figured it out or have gotten past your rut, but if not starting doing some weighted pull ups. with a weight vest, a dumbell between your feet or a weight attached to lifting belt. either will work. it doesnt have to be excessive weight to work, but 5-10 lbs will make them that much harder and should help you out.
