He will enter the DEP (delayed entry program) under an open contract this is not the contract he will go into the corps with this is just to hold his place in the dep because if he wants to be MOS 1234 and 1234 isn't open then he just wasted his time getting tested poked and yelled at for nothing, before he ships he will go back to meps this is where he gets the real contract now you said he wants infantry... he will sign a contract for the MOS02.. field (infantry) but not for a spacific MOS in the infantry because if he cant shoot at boot he cant be a sniper etc based on his preformance at boot he will get a choice of jobs in the infantry but will be gaurnteed and job in the infantry.
