Carolinagirl, my post got deleted because (at that time) I did not know I was not allowed to post in that section. The book is in-deed called "The Spearhead, 5th Marine Division" and is a wonderful book filled with TONS of information about Iwo Jima and the 5th Marine Division. The only image I can find is if you type in "Spearhead 5th Marines" in google images, there is a photo of the book. It is plain green with the Spearhead logo on it. To my knowledge, the book is very very rare.

Sgt, I picked my handle because in German it stands for Police. I've wanted to be a civilian police officer since I was 12 years old. I took German for a year in high school and I just liked the language, so it seemed natural. My other connection to it is that I want to be a k-9 officer. The dogs primarily used are German blood (they are imported) German Shepherds. I love dogs, I've had dogs all my life and both of these connections are why/how I came up with the name. I hope that answers your question.
