I was at Futema then the unit split in to two units to support Team Spirit and bear Hunt at different times of the year and to keep a safety buffer for the North Koreans. After the unit split we moved into where the new commisary is at Camp Butler at the Zukeran gate. I had some Marines that partied at a place call Whiskey River. Some of the stories that they told me were a blast to hear about. My Marines always came back ok a little drunk but safely back to the barracks or where ever they hung their covers. Good times.

I would think a member of the command would know how to obtain a sword or there may be a engraver in your city that could do it. Good luck to all of you on your jopuney to be Marine.

Hello, thank you for your reply on my thread. I really liked the idea about the sword with an engraving. I was just wondering if you knew how I could go about getting one of those, or if not, would you happen to know who I can contact for that information? Thanks again!

Doc we couldn't do anything without our Docs saying that it was ok or I would do it Gunny. Oh boy the stories. All good but....
