Cool...I'm with you on the *low to no maintenance* thing...I hate yard work.
Time sure does truck on by when one is retired that's for damn sure.
The days kind of run together.

Also...thanks for pointing Simba to the 'Understanding Parents' thread.
I didn't know about that thread.

    Later Brother...stay tough.
  8. If I remember correctly I made the jump to retirement in 1998 and bought a half acre in Nevada. It was nothing but desert and I developed the whole piece of property. Had a two B/R, two bath mobile put on it and planted 176 trees a large lawn and fenced in the whole property. Even had to buy a riding lawnmower. Had everything on drip system, which was great with the timers. Probably worked harder doing all this than I had for a real long time. Even changed my middle name to Manual (as in labor). Lived there for 14 years and moved to Fernley lat year. I had a landscape company come in here and put gravel in front and back. No watering, no mowing. Only takes once to learn my lesson.

Have a great weekend, and stay out of trouble.

    Semper Fi. Willie

Mornin' Old Marine....I thank you for the *add* and I'm honored to do the same and have you as a mutual Brother.
    Happy Friday to us.
I'm retired as of 12/23/10 so every day is Saturday for me now.
Tough adjustment but someone has to take the baton.
Stay tough....there's few of us left.<grin>

I was counting on you to spell it out more bluntly on the Lorenzo23 thread.
    Thanks...stay tough.
