Father,machine gunner Korea, Cousin, KingsBattery Chosin Resovoir,Two Brothers one retired 26yrs. sister was in army, Brother in law Marine 33 months in country, Me not so gallant, ITS at san Onofre for 0331, then MC HDQTRS Arlington Va. for three months of Officers mess duty from there i had to picks of duty anywhere there was a Marine station,pkd two places in Viet Nam but being only 17yrs old ,I went to Marine Barracks Norfolk Va. There i went TAD to Lajes Field Azores to guard an AUW complex, got to close the books at post #2 when we were kicked off the island. MADDOG 0331 and i were bunked in the same Rm.,then it's back to Norfolk where i worked as a Cross country chaser at the Naval Correctional Facilityalso worked salley port,max security, and B block,then i did a stint as Special Services NCO. That was great ,got to put on all the cookouts and beer for the barracks, then went into Main Guard ,worked the gates Fleet Landing, D/S piers, Cpl. of the guard,etc.
