Military Biography:
I was born December 05, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois. I Enlisted in the Marine Corps in October of 1997. Then Attended recruit training at MCRD, San Diego, California in December. Attended Artillery school in Ft Sill, Oklahoma, assigned to 3rd BN, 10th Marines, Camp Lejeune North Carolina. In July of 1998 I was promoted to LCpl. Attended the school of Nuclear, Biological and Chemical warfare to qualify in monitoring, surveying of Biological warfare and decontamination of personnel and equipment, then attended the Special Operations Training Group (SOTG) for riot control and non-lethal weapons training. Deployed in April 1999 for Operation Allied Force in Kosovo and then operation Shinning Hope in Albania, was then deployed to operation Joint Guardian in Kosovo where I received the Combat Action Ribbon, was then deployed to Turkey for Operation Avid Response to provide humanitarian assistance for an earth quake. I was then promoted to Cpl in Feb of 2002. In March 2003, was deployed on the 26th MEU. Was then a part of Joint Task Force Liberia in Monrovia, Africa. In September, I was promoted to Sergeant. I then attended Artillery Training School on Camp Lejeune, NC where I qualified as a Section chief for the M198 Howitzer. In September of 2004, I was deployed to Iraq attached to 2nd BN, 10th Marines. I was then attached to Regimental Combat Team 3 with 3rd BN 5th Marines where I was trained on the Biometric Automated Toolset to finger print, identify and log residence of Fallujah. I received my second Combat Action Ribbon while in Fallujah. Upon returning from Iraq in February 2005, I was detached from 3rd BN, 10th Marines and assigned to 3rd BN Head Quarters for maintenance and logistic for the M198 Howitzers. I attended Recruiters School in November 2005 on MCRD San Diego, California.
