Hi Gents,

I am currently stationed in Colorado- on an Air Force base, and I would like to purchase a desert tan identification patch for wear on my Flak Jacket. Unfortunately, the PX here only offers the black ones; those are good for maybe a flight suit, but I don't want to be the only knucklehead wearing one on a vest (or if it is even authorized, I don't know). Would someone know an online site where I could order one of these and have it sent to my house?

Thanks!

Hello

I am VERY NEW to this site, so please bear with me and naivete!

I am Theresa Holman, daughter of Joseph Samuel Holman, Sr who served in the USMC from 4/15/55 to 11/30/70. I am trying to locate any of his yearbook photos. I lost my Dad in 1997 and in 1999 I lost all belongings (including his burial flag) to Hurricane Floyd. My brother, Joseph Samuel Holman, Jr was also in the USMC and I lost my brother in 1990.

I have been doing genealogy searches for the past couple of years and I have no pictures of my dad or my brother. My Dad was stationed (as far as I can tell from his DD214s that I have in my possession in the following installations:

MCAS Cherry Point
Camp Lejeune
MCAS Iwakuni Honshu Japan

I haven't yet received my brother's DD214s - but I am waiting for them patiently.

Is there any way that I can obtain a copy of their yearbook(s)?

I'm not sure of the protocol in obtaining such portals of information and any information someone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

THANK YOU.

I am putting a display of awards together for my uncle who served in WWI and was wounded in France. He received a Wounded Chevron to be worn on the sleeve,(looks like a PFC stripe upside down). He also received a wounded ribbon and upon discharge a sterling silver pin. All others received the same dischrge pin but in bronze. What I am looking for is the ribbon. I tried Medals of America but no luck there. Any suggestions? I'm not refering to the Purple Heart ribbon, this is a WWI era ribbon that is Red with a wide White strips in the middle. I can post a pic if I knew how.
Thanks

Good evening ladies/gentlemen! Soon, I'll be leaving to attend MCT - East, but I have a simple last minute question that I yet to find a definite answer to. When reporting in, do you wear the garrison cover or the barracks cover like on Graduation Day from recruit training? From what I have gathered so far, most sources say I should wear the garrison cover because barracks cover are rarely worn.
