Hi out there:
I'm new at this but here goes. I was in the 2nd Division, specifically the 2ndMedBatt in 1950, 1951, 1952, and 1953. We did all the things that you folks are doing now. Train, Train, Train, go to the Range, Train, and we went to Vieques. I don't reckon any of you do that any more. As a Navy type the Corps was a new and everlasting experience on me. I really enjoyed it. Even went to witness an A-bomb explosion in Nevada in 1952. May Day. I don't reckon you all do that anymore either. It was different. In fact I learned to love Army cheese sandwiches. I am currently retired, living the good life here in Virginia.
Would like to get a unit patch from the 2nd Medical Battalion. Didn't have those when I was there. If you know how or where I might be able to get one, please let me know. I have emailed the unit but I don't get any answer. I suppose they are busy.
