  1. stick with the top basic ingreedients , dont go adding what i use , unless you do it a little at a time
  2. Thanks for the recipe Ed! I can't wait to try it.
  3. 4 pounds lean ground beef
    2 large onions chopped fine
    1 garlic clove crushed
    2 Tablespoons wine vinegar
    2 small cans tomato paste
    3 8oz cans tomato sauce
    5 Tablespoons Chili Powder
    1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 1/2 Tablespoon Cumin powder
    2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    1 1/2 Tablespoon sugar
    1 Tablespoon paprika
    1 1/2 Tablespoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon white pepper....
    2 quarts water.

The above is the way the recipe started from the way it was printed in the magizine
    i use the ground beef
at least 4 large onions chopped fine
I use about 5 times the garlic , doesnt matter if yu use whole , powder, chunk, or dehydrated It wont hurt if you go heavy on garlic
half cup of anykind of vinegar
a big friggin can of tomato paste not a punny one. sometimes i toss in another small one or two IF i want to stretch the beef
(OMIT the small cans of tomato sauce,) replace with a minimum of 3 largest size can of whole tomatoes (two pound whatever can)
i use about 15 tablespoons of chili powder ,depends on who's brand
instead of crushed red pepper @ one teaspoon, i use 2 Tablespoons of cayanne powder to start and go till you like the heat
cinnamon i probibly use a Tablespoon at least.
Cumin I usually use 4 Table spoons at least (bloom the cumin as you brown/soften the onions )
worcestershire sauce i use half a cup
i stick to the 1 1/2 tablespoon of sugar
    same with the salt
i dont use the white pepper
nor do i use the water (Juice from the canned tomatoes instead) you can also use crushed tomatoes..
