  1. wow that is so some awesome information to tell my friend that is gonna join with me.

i havent been able to join yet. lol when i turn 17. ill be 17 in a like 8 months =[ i cant wait to join the marines..

what was your favorite part about being in the marines?
  2. In general, law enforcement views us as reliable and disciplined bastards. Like I posted up in the forum, my Sheriff's interview was about the Corps and a few questions about being a cop.

My little bro who was an operator with 1st Force Recon and just got out. He really didn't have too hard of a time getting hired as a cop either. They love him and he's only been on 6 months. He's running their explorer program and naturally has been asked on to the SWAT team.

So, in general, if you do your time, stay outta trouble and take the test, you have a more than average shot at getting hired. It's about showing them, even if you did get out, you are still a Marine and carry the values, ethics and discipline that has been instilled into you.

The academy will be easy. It's about self discipline and time management. There was only one other Marine in my academy class and we were immediately assigned squad leader positions and were tasked with weapons and uniform inspections as well as cadence during formation running and drill.

Congrats on joining the Marines. Welcome to the family.
  3. i got a question. im joining the Marines and so is my friend. my friend wants to become a cop after he gets out. how easy was it for you to become a cop after you get out.
