Pretty much the same time. We were on a back to back CAX and they pulled myself and another Marine in my platoon about mid way into the second CAX for school. I'm pretty sure that was around the middle to the end of Sept. '95. I was with 2 LAR and went back to the same unit.
It was more than just the 2 MARDIV that was short mech's. We had some guys from 1 MARDIV there with the same story.

I went thru 3521 school in 95. I graduated in Dec. of 95. I was with 3/2 Kilo and after I got out of motor t school I went back to 3/2. The career planner told me 2nd Mar Div. was short on Mech.'s. When were you at Camp Johnson?
