A lot of political attention as been put on Afghanistan in current events. I am a reserve marine looking to deploy in support of 3/8 deployment to southern afghanistan, ive been reading about who is going to replace CLB-24 and the most i've been able to find is that the DoD has not yet decided who is going provide logistical support for 3/8. They said something along the lines of the headquaters and service support marines will be gathered from various locations around the Marine Corps. Am I going to be able to hop on this deployment? Last time I was deployed we had a 2 month notice so it seems like if there was going to be a deployment going out i would have heard, other than rumors, about it already.
