Grunts MOS matter when trying 2 be a sniper?

Im at SOI West right now, and I was wondering if my MOS right now matters when I try 2 become a sniper. I was also wondering how do I become a sniper?

Step 1: Become a grunt.
Step 2: Usually, do atleast one pump with your battalion, but sometime they'll accept boots.
Step 3: Take your battalion's STA Plt. Indoc.

After that, it's up to them. Oh, and I'd have atleast a 285 PFT beforehand...just sayin. G'luck dude.

You dont wanna be a sniper, its overrated. Take pride in the fact that there's less than 35-40,000 0311s walking this earth in uniform today.
