Under the Tuscan Sun is a chick flick

In this film loosely based on Frances Mayes' popular memoir of the same name, Diane Lane plays a San Francisco author whose recent divorce leaves her suffering from depression and a nasty case of writer's block. On the advice of her best friend (Sandra Oh), the 35-year-old woman takes a vacation to the Tuscany region of Italy. She likes it there so much that she buys a villa in the town of Cortona. Her new life becomes even more exciting when she finds love in the arms of a handsome local (Raoul Bova).

LOL

Now, normally I wouldn't go see a chick flick, and I wasn't going to go see this one except for two things, in this movie..

1. The actress is a redhead

2. The actress is a redhead wearing a white dress...

:marine: "Hawk you are welcome to colors...I'll take Diane Lane anyday...I'm not connected to today's Hollywood crowd, but Diane is my choice for R&R over and over again...the movies she has made don't concern me one bit...it's just watching her beautiful face and assets are worth the price of admission...talk about an American [J Lo] lookalike....mmm/mmm, sweet as sugar candy, delete that....Diane is Eye Candy to me...the camera show off Diane Lane's angles to perfection...as far as this Marine is concerned!!...thx for the three [3] pics..that 2nd pic gets my undivided attention completely...hot damn!!.:marine:

Tuscany cuisine is pretty darn good as well. If so inclined.

For the sequel, the breakup, I guess they can film a remake of "Eating Rauol"

:marine: 'Hawk, that 4th pic of Diane Lane is wicked...wicked beautiful...the draw power of temptation says it all in that pic...mmm/mmm...Sophora is back...3 cheers for the only redhead in my life...how's it going out there in cowboy/land...greybeard...got a good chuckle outta your comment about redheads...too bad, but there are more of them out there, greybeard...actually, if I had a say in it...Diane looks ravishing as a honey-blonde...I think we all have a mental vision of the perfect woman from afar...Diane Lane is my fantasy...about the perfect woman, that is...I'd spend all my dough on her...upon flights of fantasy, they are harmless and free...."one in; one out"...thanks 'Hawk for the inexpensive "R&R"...now that is a Marine buddy!! Semper Fi, Marine :marine:

Saw the movie, nothing unusual about it, predictable.
Wasn't worth it.

Wasn't really a romance story but more of a advertizement for gays and lesbians tfriendship with young love thrown in.
Weren't even any "Hot" scenes in it, like in Unforgiven pic below.

beautiful country side, but that's about it..

Diane Lane's hair wasn't even red in the movie, liked it looked in the movie previews, argued with the theatre manager for about 15 minutes why I should get my money back, on that one...LOL
