I dont knw if this is the right place to post this but I need some serious help and any help from Marines or other Poolees would be a huge help.

Well the situation is my dad goes through my room while Im gone and looks through all my stuff and steals some stuff. He hasnt helped me with anything ive earned everything I own and dont believe he has a right to do this.
He was telling my younger sister he wants to call my recruiter and get me kicked out or something. After I heard this I called my recruiter and asked him to disreguard anything that my father has to say because he is completely pyscho. I have no where else to go until boot camp which is almost 5 months from now! My dad has already got in my face and weve had our wrestling matches and hes trying to get me to hit him just so he can pull some crap on me and ruin my future bcuz hes a felon.
Please someone help me.
Thanks...

See if you can get your ship date moved up. One of my buddies was crackin a joke about getting his ship date moved and his recruiter said he could have him on a bus next week if he wanted it. Not saying that's going to happen for you, but you could probably get out of there in less than 5 months.

You're an adult, so your father can't use his status as a parent to get you kicked out of the DEP, but it looks like he realizes that and is attempting to get you criminally DQ'd. I'd say, spend as...

Thanks MikeDWho and Rough Hands. They know I want to leave early, since I memorized the 11 general orders and such my recruiter wants to get me out earlier-but I think I have to wait until someone cant make it or qualify for his ship date Im not really sure, and I also have a friend who is going to the buddy system with me so I dont know if that causes a problem with me leaving earlier. Hes actually enlisting tomorrow and we are going for the same MOS so we can go to the same schooling as well.

If you're over 18, I don't think he can do much since you're an adult? and if he doesn't have any proof then they can't kick you out because of what someone said.

If I lived where you lived I would offer the use of my room while I'm at boot... bit of a stretch away though. Hope everything works out, and remember, don't do anything stupid. Revenge is not worth...

Threaten to move your ship date up. That would shut up my dad if he was pulling this, though that might not work on yours. Anywho, good luck!

Two things. Both have already been suggested. It still needs EMPHASIS!

You are an adult. There is nothing he can do about YOUR contract.

Second, get away from him. I do not care what it takes. There is a way. I left home when I was 14, I had a similar situation with my mother. You have friends that will take care of you. Trust me, all you have to do is look. Is there someone in your Poole that you are especially close to? If you do not get out of this situation the legal ramifications can alter your capability to even enter the Corps.

Check for a post I did about a moral waiver just to see the difficulty of small stupid situations. Even though you are already enlisted, this will not stop you from needing a secondary waiver, which could have you removed from the DEP if denied.

It doesn't matter if you CAN move your shipdate up, just make him THINK you can. ^^

Even though I have the same sentiment as you Mr. Lee, I would advise you against this. This could cause more trouble for all parties involved.

A wise man once said "The worst harm comes from the best intentions." I dunno who said it.

Haha oh wow thanks guys and Cellinheim no offense im sure Lee was joking.
and on the IST the only reason i think my run time is so good is bcuz ive been running all my life ever since i was like 6 my dad had me running haha hes a dick but it did good for me and he wouldnt let me join football or the mom wouldnt too much violence they said so i had to do cross country but senior year i joined football and actually started suprisingly lol. i did football and cross country it makes you extremely busy ill tell you.
pullups btw-i just practice alot and found good workouts etc putting weight on yourself helps alot i improved from 13 or so to 18 in 2 weeks a year ago and now look where im at im pretty pumped about it by the way one of my recruiters told me the record is over 100 in san diego so i have alot to go especially in six months!
and the sit up wise idk they are just easy not much to it just do abs everyother day until you cant do them anymore.
thanks again for all the help fellow poolees!

Oh no I understand his partial joking manner. I tend to have the same thoughts, then out of no where I remember how the real world handles these issues.

As for your weights for your pulls. Do you remember your Routine by chance. I am currently starting at 10. The weight and week ratio you used would be beneficial.

Cellinheim

The program you used to increase your pulls.

My mother does the same thing... except she steals money from my wallet and then goes to a casino to gamble it away... and they wonder why (I'm not getting a job) before I join.

My step dad's been doing that for years, if you ignore them they won't try as hard.

Learn from their mistakes. Otherwise, you WILL be in the SAME situation... Take it from me... my mothers favorite toy was a crowbar... You do not wan to go back there.

To be honest if one of my parents came at me with a crow bar i would deff. take control of the situation and make sure they never pick up another weapon or dare threathen someone like that again.

I am 22. This happened when I was 14. That is also the day I left home.

In reference to another situation that may come up from a Marine reading this, I later went to my mothers home for a brief stay when an earlier referenced situation occurred between my brother and I.

lol, I appreciate your condolences. Do not sweat it dude. We all tread through ****... It is how we handle it that makes us Men/Women.

I have no regrets, I am who I am today because of who I was yesterday.

Man that really sucks your dad has no right to do that i would suggest talking to your rectruter about moving your ship date up im know atleast my recruter he told me if i want he could ship me out next week with an open contract if u wanna leave that back you just might not get the job you want.

If your 18 theres nothing your dad to get you kicked out best of luck to you! message me if you want advice my mother tried the same stuff with me
