I ship 20100816, and have recently developed shin splints. Should I rest from running until I have completely healed or run on them anyways? 1.5 Mile run is 9:17 right now. I run 4 miles a day, 5 days a week.

Young man, do a search on the site, as well as the internet on shin splints, as this topic has been covered before.

Just RICE it and don't come limping off the bus and hobble to the yellow footprints like you got a wooden leg.

Let them heal at least partially before running again. Do some research on exercises to prevent them in the future. And like the Sgt said, RICE. Some people claim to be able to run through them, but that is not recommended as they can progress to the point of stress fractures, which is no good.
