you receive family separation for 30 days or more of active duty away from your family, so yes. also, yes you get BAH. this of course assumes you are married and more than 50 miles from your spouse. i could be wrong in that you are at boot camp, but i am 99% positive of this.

If she went to join after you were already in she would not get BAH only senior member get BAH in a joint household and since shes would be in Boot no need for her to get it. now to the OP yes you should be recieving BAH in boot as far as i know here is the site to look up the rate for where SHE/HE(didnt look at the profile to see female/male lol) is living http://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/perdiem/bah.html

Thanks Marines I really could use the BAH and SEP pay, so thats good to hear. And was you saying your wife was a porn star.
Well, if you REALLY want to educate yourself on BAH you can look up the BAH manual on google. You will receive BAH with dependent(s) and how much depends on where you're at. FSA is an entitlement that you get started on the 31st day of being gone 51 miles or more away from home. It's 250 a month right now. The BAH you will be receiving while you are in boot and MOS school will be the rate for where your spouse lives. Once you get to your first duty station you will get the amount rated for that station since they will put your spouse on your orders to move her there. If you choose NOT to move here there you will STOP receiving FSA and will get the rate of your duty station which may be lower than in your home state. AND to clarify the perks of having a military spouse here it is...the SENIOR member will receive BAH With dependent while the junior member WILL receive BAH own right which is NOT that much less. Being an admin Marine AND member to member family we know that one pretty well. If you have ANY pay or entitlement questions feel free to ask. I'm a deployed admin bubba and I really don't do crap...so I don't mind answering questions I have all my references in front of me. BTW the BAH manual, look it up it was the first thing I did when i checked in and I quickly became the go-to guy about that stuff.
You draw bah and com rats at the single rate if both are in service. Neither is the others dependant.

In that BAH Manual it stated that another service member is a non eligible dependant so no if both parties were married they would be no one with dependants and one without. also FSA when i got it was a reasonable driving distance not 51 miles and this wasnt too long ago either

I stand corrected on the BAH comment. Correctly put member to member does not receive any different rate, housing only takes ONE members BAH that being the senior...I'm not even sure why i said that. BUT the FSA regulation CLEARLY states that you have to be 51 miles away from home to receive.
Dependents Reside Near Duty Station
Family Separation Allowance does not accrue to a member if all of the dependents reside at or near the duty station. If some (but not all) of the dependents voluntarily reside near the duty station, FSA may accrue on behalf of those dependents who do not reside at or near the duty station. Consider dependents as residing near a duty station if the member actually commutes daily, regardless of distance.
Consider dependents as residing near a duty station if they live within a reasonable commuting distance of that station, whether or not the member commutes daily. A distance of 50 miles, one way, is normally considered to be within reasonable commuting distance of a station; however, the 50- mile rule is not inflexible. Unusual conditions may permit a determination that dependents do not live within a reasonable commuting distance, even though the distance involved is less than 50 miles one way. In a situation where the distance is less than 50 miles, but the time required to commute one way by commonly used route and method of transportation would exceed 1-1/2 hours, the dependents shall be considered as not residing near the member's duty station unless the member actually commutes daily.
If dependents are authorized concurrent travel with the member to the duty station and are subsequently authorized to reside at a point over 50 miles from member's duty station for personal reasons, rather than as a result of military restriction on dependents' travel, FSA entitlement does not accrue.
For detailed information about Family Separation Allowance entitlement, see Department of Defense (DOD) Pay Regulation (http://usmilitary.about.com/cs/dodpayregulation/index.htm), Volume 7A (Active Duty & Reserve Pay), Chapter 27 (http://usmilitary.about.com/library/milinfo/payreg/bl7achap27.htm)-- Family Separation Allowance (FSA). There you are. The PRIUM merely guides you in the diary process for running a transaction and does not provide guidance on the order stating WHY you're entitled to an allowance.

'Cept for comrats. Comrats are expressly for the Marine and NOT the family. It seems kinda messed up but yea, there's how that works.
