I have been searching the internet trying to find an answer on this....


can you change your home of record, so that the Marine Corps will move you, any dependents, and your stuff back to another home of record other than the one you enlisted from?

i am getting out next april, and i want to be moved back with my wife to her state, because i have absolutely zero ties anymore to the state i enlisted from.

any help would be appreciated.

You can change your home of record when you execute a new enlistment. The government will pay what it would cost to move you and your dependents back to your home of record, or any lesser amount if you move to your wife's home of record. In other words, if your wife's home of record is further than your home of record, they will only pay you up to what it would cost to move to your home of record.
