I was wondering what happens if you decline Boot Leave after graduation? Where do you go?

Try using the search bar as this topic has been covered before.

Im not going to lie. I did the search bar and found nothing along the lines of this question. Yes, I have posted a question similar to this but still did not get a direct answer to this question.

You travel directly to MCT or SOI and continue to roll with the flow. You'll probably rake leaves and paint rocks and chit while your buddies are out sporting their uniforms and trying to get laid.

Well, just because it wasn't answered the first time around, doesn't mean to start another thread on it.

The above IS a direct answer. Yes, you will be on sh*t details. Here is one of those "Marine Corps-isms" your might have heard about : "If it doesn't grow, pick it up; if it does grow, trim it; if you can't move it, paint it."

That, or something very like it, will be your mission for 10-days if you decline boot leave.

Your command at boot could order you to take leave, then you would have to take it. I guarantee you tell your DI's that you don't want leave they will roll there eyes, and make you take it anyway. I mean honestly you don't have any friends you could stay with for 10 days, plus the other days you could get for recruiters assistance. I see you live about two hours away from me, hell if you want a place to stay, you can come crash at my place. We'll party, and I'll show you the other side of the Marine Corps, Beer Drinking!!!:D

This should show the young shower shoes that Marines take care of their own.

I was only ever forced to take leave once and that was because I had 78 days on the books.

Don't be a Bolshevik ....Take the leave or you'll be labeled a malcontent. The Marine Corps knows best why you need leave.

Trust me, just take the leave.
If you don't want to hang with friends and family,
Buy a cool tent and some chow and camp out for 15 days.
Just make sure your trash is squared away and you have a fresh
haircut before reporting in to SOI.

Typically after boot, you will want your leave. It gives you the chance to see your lady, your family, and friends plus you get to amaze the people who thought you would never be worth the powder it would take to blow you to hell.
