Transition from Security Forces to Infantry

Hey Marines I leave one month from today (AUG 9) to MCRD SD with a contract of UV otherwise known as Security Forces Infantry. I hope to become a member of a FAST Co. and will try my hardest to obtain my goals in order to become a Marine. I was just wondering how the transition is from SF to Infantry is like? And any other information regarding similarities or differences between SF Marines (FAST) and Infantry would also be appreciated.

Run a search for "Security Forces", lots of coverage on this. Short answer, you'll have to earn the respect of the 'regular grunts' after your SF tour.

Its easier when you hit the fleet from FAST Co to earn respect than it is for PRP and 8th and I. But Sgts right, this topic has been covered before so search.
