You can appeal what happened as a youth and talk to I think a JAG about it. It will be a judge's decision to give you clearance or not.

You were a juvenile when the offense occured, your juvenile record should have been sealed. The only way the FBI would have known about what you did is if you were fingerprinted. In New Jersey this would not have been done. I think you should get a lawyer (criminal) and let him fix this mess.

Well I was for sure a minor when it happened. But yea, thanks for the responses. I really hope it all works out.

Ummm....incorrect. If you had to do 'community service' you for SURE were charged. And either plead, or were found, guilty, and given community service. You just don't 'get' community service,...
