Son sent these over the weekend. He hopes to get a couple weeks leave over Thanksgivong. This would be great as we haven't seen him since January.

I know the feeling about missing your kid. My #1 daughter is leaving Afghanistan soon, hopefully within the next five days. Haven't seen her since last Christmas.

Dan, he is adjusting to the weather. Says it rains a lot but you just get used to it.

A few more sent this weekend. The "log" weighed about 400 lbs and had 4 guys on it up a hill.

Finally, one in his blues. I've never seen him wear them. He didn't on boot leave as he didn't have the white cover for his hat.

I love your son's expression in the top picture. It really shows how much muscle the guys are putting into their uphill climb. Way to go!

LOL, Jerry I think it must be a temporary lull in the rain. Glad you got it on film, no one will ever believe it!!

It's an Enlisted Dress Blues cover, not a hat.
And he's one sharp looking Marine!
