Well worth the read.

Doc Miller was in some way my replacement. I left. He then came in a little after.

Tycz would have been a relative FNG when I knew him.

It was a tough day at Arlington when we put those boys to rest.

I called the reporter right after the burial to tell her how much that article meant to all of us who gathered that day.

It happened many years ago. Even so, as I read it, I wanted to get in there and fight to help them. My emotions almost got the best of me. We will always respect those who made it back. And never forget those who didnt.

Billy, nothing put terror into you like the thought that a whole Team might be lost.

And sadly we lost more than a few Teams.

And had many many more that just avoided that fate.

Doc

Thanks for posting that. It's a tough read but well worth it. The letters home were especially hard given that Father's Day is only two days away

"It's a tough read but well worth it."

Dan, its a tough read each and every time for me. But the first time was the worst. The Mrs was driving and I opened the paper to read while we were on our way to bury those boys.

I doubt I have ever cried so hard in my life.
