I cant get the right answer on this question...

I know as a AD Marine i pay about $100 or so for the GI Bill every month...I remember we were told that this would be for the first year of every Marines enlistment, then it would not be taken out of your paycheck anymore.

But my question is, since i'm at my 1 year mark, do I get the $100 difference back in my paychecks or what happens exactly at the 1yr mark and to the money being taken out my paycheck?

I believe they changed that last year, or whenever the new GI bill came out. I think it's only 6 or 7 months paid now.

Anyway, when your time is up they'll simply stop taking the money out of your pay. It's non-taxable so you should see an extra 50 dollars a check.

Btw, when did Generals start paying for the GI bill?
