Hello, my name is Nicholas. I just joined this nice website. I am 16, and i am a patriot. I have a question about the Delayed Entry Program. I heard that in the Army that they allow you to do your basic training over your Junior-Senior summer vaction, does the Marine Corps. have this same option? The Marines are my first option when i get out of high school. As soon as i turn 17 i want to enlist.

Thank you :usmc:

Nicholas,
My son participated in the poolee program, the USMC training program, at the age of 15 1/2. You need to contact your High School recruiter. My son was not an official Poolee until he enlisted but he was allowed to participate in every Poolee function including competitions. You cannot actually enlist until the age of 17 with parents signatures and are not considered delayed entry until you have passed all tests and have been sworn in.
