Hello Marines, I had a few questions about how to get into the NROTC Program. Is this something you would sign/apply for when you Enlist? I'm just a little confused on how to get accepted into the program to become an officer. As far as I can find you just have to get admission to a NROTC College. Thanks for any help, seems like everytime I go and talk to my recruiter I always have that one question I forget to ask. Chris K.

I'm confused by your question. Are you asking if you can apply to an NROTC program as an Enlisted Marine? This program is run by colleges, so you would have to be a college student to do it.

Now, the one exception is the NROTC scholarship. As an enlisted Marine you may actually apply for the 4-year NROTC scholarship, and if you are accepted (and have completed at least 24 months of your contract) your enlistment is terminated, and your appointed place of duty becomes whatever school you were accepted to.

Does that answer your question, or am I misunderstanding what you are asking?
