Use your computer and the internet to find out more.

I have the "Big Three" I recommend to help you determine if the Marine Corps is the right choice for you.

1. Go to an online book seller (Amazon.com, BN.com, etc.) and search for books about the Marine Corps. I recommend reading a few. It will be a wise investment, regardless if you decide to join. Most of the good books were authored by a Marine or someone who witnessed events first-hand.

2. Schedule an appointment with a recruiter. If you don't know where to find one, visit www.Marines.com and fill out the registration form so that the Corps can have someone contact you. Look for Marine Corps literature in your school or ask a school official to assist you in locating a recruiter or literature on opportunities.

3. Become a member of this site and ask all the questions you like!

No matter what, write down your questions on paper and keep them handy when researching online, in books or when talking to a recruiter. That way you are sure to get answers to the issues that are important to you. Congratulations on considering the Marines.
