How come I can actually figure out how to legally have that in my state but I can't have an AR?

No ARs in Conn? You sure about that? They're even available in California.

Very sure; I can grandfather in an MG but I'd have to completely disable and then weld the receiver on an AR to have it here.

When did they start allowing them again???

I fled the People's Republik of Kalifornia a few years ago but my cousin was asking me for advice on what to buy and I was under the impression that they were still outlawed.

You can have them...with a fixed 10 rnd mag. As far as I know there's only a couple of companies that sell them.

Cali just sucks.

You have bad luck with living in sucky states.

Oh OK, gotcha. I was working at a gun shop when they started selling those and my look of disgust in regards to them hasn't changed much. Discussing this option with my cousin, it took me a few minutes to convince him that I was serious and that they actually exist. Hopefully he'll take my advice and get an M1A.

According to that it's legal to own them with detachable mags as long as they don't have flash suppressors, bayonett lugs, and other things Californian law makers consider "assault" weaponish.

AK47s are apparently legal too.

Would it rotate around for possession like the Stanley Cup does for hockey players?
