I just got orders to III MHG, III MEF Headquarters Group, for my first duty station. I havent been able to much about it, any information about the III MHG will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The MEF Headquarters Group (MHG) is an enabling command that provides administrative, training, and limited logistics support to the MEF (and embedded MEB/MEF Forward) command element in order to allow the command element to focus on war fighting. The MHG functions as Headquarters Commandant and Commander of Troops while deployed or embarked.

Is this at Camp Hansen or down on Courtney? Oki is fun, you are going to have a blast.

They were at just across the street from Foster last time I was on Okinawa (1992). Nice duty...

I think the MHG is on Hansen, but I could be wrong. Don't think it's on Courtney though.

I was at 3rd Intel Bn and I think it was right across the street from us on Hansen. Its hard to remember.

I googled III MEF Headquarters Group, and they are at my old stomping grounds from the 70's, Camp Hansen.
