If there are any 0204's (or even 0211's) on here, lease PM me? I have a few basic questions.

Thanks,

Hey there Marine, I can't help you with your questions, but you might want to square away your profile so the Marines here know who they are talking to.

OK, you entered the Marine Corps in 2010, but graduated from boot camp in Aug 8, 2009....which was a Saturday. MCRD doesn't have graduations on Saturdays. What BN were you in at MCRD...just curious?

You're right... But look again, I did not go to MCRD, but OCS in Quantico, VA, PLC-C 201, which graduated on Saturday, August 8th, 2009. I was in Delta Co, 4th Plt. I commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in February of this year (2010), hence the entering of the Marine Corps in 2010.

Maybe in the future a little more thinking before trying to bust on a new poster would help.

For the OP..
Sorry, I can't help you. I know the Corps is trying to go with regular officers now in the field in place of former NCOs who know what they are doing.
That is going to be interesting. I expect that has shaken things up.

Are you picking MOSes already?

Nothing wrong with asking...I was a bit confused there and had a brain fart, OK!

Not yet, actually will not get to for quite a while, as TBS is a little backed up at the moment and I will not get there until September. Everything I have read about the HUMINT/CI field is pretty interesting, though, and it is definitely up there on my list of possible MOS choices. I was hoping to get in contact with a Marine in the HUMINT/CI community to hopefully get some more insight over the general info that is available elsewhere on the internet.

Thank you for the responses, Marines.

It's a little tricky with jobs like that. Since a lot of what they do has parts of it that are classified, what you can't find available on the internet might not be available privately either. Good luck though.

There was another post somewhat recently dealing with CI in the forums, see if you can find that.

My apologies Sir.
Since I had a major brain fart and I was in the middle of my daily exercises, I made sure I did an extra set of 100 crunches.
And CONGRATS on your commission as 2nd Lieutenant! :usmc:

Thanks for the response, Marine. I think that the classified nature of the work of this and related MOSes is definitely the source of my issues in finding info, but what I am looking for now is not so much about the operational experiences and capabilities, but more so of the organization in such units, which I have not been able to find.

I will definitely do a search through these forums, though!

Thank your Marine, and don't worry about it... it happens. I'd be quite curious if I perceived discrepancies in someone's statements as a Marine as well.
