Hello All,
Sorry if I'm http://i47.tinypic.com/b7j8lk.gif (Beating a dead horse) but I have a few questions about a couple of MOS's. Before I begin, I know there are tons of threads out there of kids in HS talking the talk, But I'm going to walk the walk. I would do anything to become a Marine, and I will.

So here are the facts, I've sat down with my recruiter last week, and he's coming again for a follow up tomorrow afternoon. I'm enlisting April or May (the soonest I can enlist). I would do DEP but I have a family business to take care of and I can't miss that for a day of PT.

The list of MOS's I'm considering.

MOS 0451 - - Airborne and Air Delivery Specialist.

FIELD 05, MARINE AIR GROUND TASK FORCE (MAGTF) PLANS.

MOS 0311 - - Rifleman.

(http://usmilitary.about.com/od/enlistedjo2/a/0331new.htm)0331 - - Machine Gunner.

Basically what I'm looking for is a little run down of what each MOS is like in

active duty. Like what I could be doing everday if I enlisted as a 0451 per say.

I know the 05's are earned, So what field would be best to obtain that roll?

I've seen guys love Infantry, and some think it was going to be something a lot different than what it was.

About me, I'm in great shape. I've played Football, Basketball, Track, and Baseball every year of HS.
I've started running in the mornings also, about 3-4 miles round trip. Again, Not just talking. Doing something about it.

If you could help it'd be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
Ryan.

First of all, you are not no poolee since you don't have an actual shipdate.
You may want to PM a mod...thedrifter or jinelson....and have your status changed from poolee to Marine Friend.
Read the site rules in the poolee and Ask A Marine forums, and do a search on this site as these MOS's have been covered before.

Thank you, But I've done plenty of research. I started a new thread to get specifics not a overall.

Well, how about filling out all of your profile so the Marines who are going to answer your questions, know who they are talking to.
