Im currently planning on going reserve as an AAV crewman. i was wanting to know if going reserve is worth it, money wise. and if i am deployed oversees, how long are deployments roughly for this job?

Unless you have a good job you are wanting to keep or some other circumstance that is wanting you to stay home don't go reserves especially with a cool MOS like AAV crewman. A good friend of mine with 2nd AAV Battalion as a platoon commander and the training they do is awesome. You get the same at a reserve unit.

Marine Corps deployments usually run the same no matter your MOS. As a reservist you would get activated for a full year and be on actual deployment for about 8 months.
